What is DPV diving like?

Diver Propulsion Vehicles, or DPVs, are an exciting way to explore the underwater world. With a DPV, you can move through the water effortlessly, covering more ground and experiencing more marine life than ever before. Imagine gliding over coral reefs, exploring shipwrecks, or getting up close and personal with larger marine creatures – all with the power of a DPV at your fingertips.

Should I do an intro or a full course?

A DPV intro dive is an exciting way to experience the thrill of scuba diving with a Diver Propulsion Vehicle without having to commit to a full DPV specialty course.

Before the dive, a certified dive professional will give you a brief introduction to the DPV and its basic operation. You’ll learn how to turn it on and off, how to control the speed, and how to maneuver the device underwater. The dive professional will also go over safety procedures and communication signals, ensuring that you feel comfortable and confident before you enter the water.

At the end of the dive, you’ll return to the surface with a new appreciation for the unique experience that a DPV can offer. The DPV intro dive is a great way to test the waters and see if a full DPV specialty course is right for you.

What does a DPV course look like?

Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to maneuver the DPV safely and efficiently, how to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting, and how to plan and execute dives using a DPV. You will perform two dives using a DPV. By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to safely and confidently use a DPV during your scuba dives.

Who can enroll in the DPV course?

To enroll in a DPV specialty course, you’ll need to be a certified Open Water Diver or equivalent.

SSI Diving Organizations.

At our diving center Dive Spot in Tenerife, we offer training from of the largest diving organization in the world SSI – Scuba Schools International. Certificates issued by these organization is accepted all over the world.

E-Learning – Your training online

Don’t waste time! In our diving center, you can complete online diving training for all levels. You can do it at any convenient time, even in the evening, at your own home. After booking, you will receive e-learning access from us. You will only need to perform underwater skills and diving when you come to us.

How to make a reservation?

Before you start, please read our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cancellation and Refund Policy. To make a reservation, you will need a bank card to pay a small deposit. If you do not have a card or you have problems with online payment, please contact us, and we will arrange a different payment method. Remember that promotional prices are valid only for online bookings made at least one day before the dive.

Additional options. Mark additional options that you would like to add to your order.

The underwater world at night is completely different. We encourage you to book a night dive as an additional dive on any day of the package.

Photos and videos of your first dive. If you want the instructor to do an underwater photo shoot for you, select “Yes, please”.

Transfer. If you need transportation from your hotel and back, you can order it with an additional fee in two different tourist areas. If your place of stay is not covered on the map, please contact us. We can arrange individual transportation for you. You can check the transport zone map here.

Date. Select the date of your dive. We reserve the right to change the time for better organization of our work in the diving center. Our assistant will confirm your booking with detailed information.

Checkout and Cart

If your order is ready, press “Book Now”. You will be transferred to the Checkout page.
If you want to make changes to your booking, you will find the Basket icon which at the top of the page, which will take you to your Cart. If you have a discount coupon for regular customers, you can apply it in the cart and proceed to checkout.
Checkout page – Billing Details. On this page you will fill in your personal data: first name, last name, phone number (don’t forget the prefix, which is your country code), email address (for booking confirmation), the language you speak best, and additional languages you can communicate in (choose from the list. If you know more, please write them in the comments).

Pick up point. If you ordered a paid transfer service from the hotel, please enter the exact full name of the hotel, including the city. If you stay in an apartment, enter the exact address: street and number, city, zip code, name of the building, and Google location, if possible.

Additional Information. Enter any relevant information you want to inform us about in this section.

Payment.

Enter your bank card details and pay the deposit. You will receive an automatic confirmation to your email about the payment and pending process status.
Then, our assistant will confirm the reservation and inform you about the details. Please note that there may be minor changes to your order, such as the start time or hotel pick-up time. Sports activities are subject to last-minute changes, so please make sure to keep your phone handy in case we need to contact you. If you have any issues with booking or payment, please contact us.
